Following months of speculation and weeks of negotiation and back and forths, Aaron Rodgers is officially a member of the New York Jets.
The Jets sent the Green Bay Packers a steep compensation for the four-time MVP, but it was most definitely worth it, all things considered.
So, now that the team is a legit Super Bowl contender, their PR crew put together quite an iconic graphic.

Of course, some Jets fans were as hyped as the social media team, while fans from other teams didn’t take that meme so well.
We’re the Jets ever really up?

Y’all posted that last year. How did that work out? pic.twitter.com/advyx2K6Ku

Did we win a playoff game for the first time in over a decade or is this another offseason championship?

No doubt in my mind he retires in 1 year after a long, drawn out, media tour final lap of an off-season… before breaking your hearts NY.
Any you gave up all them picks for him. WOOF.

Truth be told, it’s been quite a while since the Jets were ‘up.’
They’ve been bottom-feeders for the better part of their history, but that will no longer be the case with No. 12 in town.
The Jets could’ve and should’ve made the playoffs last season with that elite defense and impressive set of young offensive talent, but Zach Wilson’s erratic play often held them back.
Wilson will most likely now stay with the team learning behind Rodgers, as they claim they still haven’t given up on him.
Maybe, that’s just what he needs to take a step forward and break out as the star the Jets thought he’d be, but he’ll have to wait at least a couple of years before getting the nod again.
So, you may still be skeptical, but you better not sleep on them.
The New York Jets, are indeed, back up my friends.
