While their hopes are not entirely gone, many people assume that the Miami Heat will not make the playoffs.
They have a chance of keeping their hopes alive on Friday night but if they fail in that game, their year is over.
It will be a tough end to a rough year.
If the Heat don’t make a dent in the postseason, the front office might decide to make big moves to get them back in contention for the Finals.
According to NBACentral, one NBA executive says that the Heat could make a deal that sends Tyler Herro to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Damian Lillard.

That would be a ground-shaking trade that could possibly change the fate of both teams.
Fans online were quick to respond to this rumor.
Some felt that the last thing the Blazers need is another guard.
“Portland says No because they don’t need another guard. Sharpe and Simons is good for the guard spots. Any deal would have to start with Bam imo,” one fan said.

Others said any potential deal wouldn’t be enough for Portland, especially with a player as powerful and important as Lillard.
Nobody wants Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, and 3 MIA 1sts

Would Herro in Portland help them get a ring?
Would Lillard in Miami?
That wouldn’t be enough for a championship

Finally, many people were saying that this speculation is moot because Lillard will once again decide to remain in Portland, as he has so many times before.
he’s not going anywhere. say this every offseason

The fact that there is already so much speculation about landing spots for Lillard shows that there may be something to the rumors of him saying goodbye to the Blazers.
He might not end up in Miami but his days in Portland may be numbered.
