The NFL Draft is set to begin on April 27.
That means from now until then there will be plenty of rumors swirling about teams’ interest in players and potential trades.
Carolina already traded for the first-overall pick, so it is safe to assume that pick is off the table.
But, the next pick likely to be traded is third overall.
There have been rumors that the Arizona Cardinals are willing to trade their pick.
Many quarterback-needy teams should be interested in acquiring it.
According to Adam Schefter, at least six teams have inquired about moving up into the third spot.
At least six teams have inquired with the Arizona Cardinals about trading up for the third overall pick in the upcoming April 27 NFL Draft, per league sources. Cardinals still are mulling whether to move pick or make it.

Since the Cardinals already have their quarterback in Kyler Murray, it makes a ton of sense to move the pick.
Moving back and adding more draft capital is the best way for the Cardinals to speed up their rebuild.
It is safe to assume that anyone moving into that spot will be selecting a quarterback.
My best guess on who those six-ish teams are that have explored (to some degree) trading for the 3rd pick:
– Colts
– Lions
– Raiders
– Titans
– Commanders
– Someone in the late teens or 20s that would be willing to give up three first rounders… https://t.co/8aC6CBARrP

All of those teams mentioned by Brett Kollmann in the tweet above could use a franchise signal-caller.
Many fans believe that trading the pick is the best option.
I hope they trade the pick, it’s the best option for sure

#Cardinals would be foolish not to take a trade-down. https://t.co/uMS6C97exM

The Cardinals could move back in the first round and still pick a very good defensive player.
One of the players that teams might trade up for is Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.
He has seen his stock rise since the NFL Combine, and he is expected to go somewhere in the top 10.
Also, this report might be some gamesmanship from the Cardinals to try and get a better offer.

The more teams that are interested give the Cardinals more leverage in a deal.
It would be a surprise if there is not a new team drafting third overall come draft day.
