Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson set the league on fire for 13 years alongside one another and will undoubtedly go down in history as the greatest shooting backcourt of all time after thousands of threes and four NBA championships.
It’s still hard to believe it’s all over as Klay has signed a 3-year, $50 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, and Steph recently sent a heartwarming message out to his fellow Splash Bro.
Steph posted a message on his Instagram saying “Even though we won’t finish the journey together, what we did will never be done again. Couldn’t have imagined a better run with you and (Draymond Green). Changed the whole Bay Area. Changed the way the game is played. Killa Klay at the center of it all. Thank you for everything bro. Go enjoy playing basketball and doing what you do.”

Fans were understandably emotional after reading this and reminiscing on the end of one of the NBA’s greatest runs ever and a modern-day dynasty.

It wasn’t the best parting of ways between Klay and the Warriors and it’s unclear what is next for the Warriors, as many fans were also saying Steph should follow suit and leave town as well.
There’s no replacing what Klay has meant for this franchise, and in the short term, the Dubs have to find a way to patch things together and continue to compete in Steph’s prime.
Unless the front office has a big trade up its sleeve, it doesn’t seem likely that the Warriors will be able to keep this run going.
