Fans React To Suns Losing Huge Lead Against The Spurs

The Phoenix Suns were down two of their best three players — again.

With Devin Booker and Bradley Beal nursing ankle and back injuries, respectively, it was up to Kevin Durant and company to carry the load again.

Notably, it didn’t seem like Frank Vogel’s team would have any sort of trouble handling the young San Antonio Spurs.

They led by 18 at halftime and were up 13 by the end of the third quarter.

Then, the hoop pretty much closed for the home team, with Gregg Popovich’s troops making it a one-point game with a couple of seconds left.

A steal in the inbound play led to a miracle bucket to give the Spurs the lead, and the fans let the Suns have it on social media.

It’s early in the season, and the Suns added plenty of new pieces, so it only makes sense that it’ll take some time for the team to gel.

Also, while the Suns are a deep team, there’s a big talent gap between Kevin Durant and the next man up when Devin Booker and Bradley Beal aren’t there.

The Spurs also deserve a lot of credit for fighting their way back into the game and not waiving the white flag after finding themselves trailing big.

They might not win a lot of games this season and there will definitely be plenty of growing pains, but it’s still nice to see that they’re looking forward to competing and playing hard every game.
