Antonio Brown might not suit up again for any team in the National Football League, but that doesn’t mean his playing days are over.

According to Rodger Wyland of WNYT, the controversial wideout is ready to pad up and play for the Albany Empire of the National Arena League when they play their next home game on May 27 at MVP Arena.

Albany Empire Owner Antonio Brown told me he is going to suit up and play for the Empire as soon as their next home game May 27th at MVP Arena. Brown is a 7 time NFL Pro-Bowler WR who played 10 years with the Steelers. @WNYT @albanyempire

Oh good Lord. It’s like NASCAR. You don’t want to watch but feel you have to so you don’t miss the catastrophic wreck

For those who haven’t been keeping tabs on Brown’s most recent shenanigans, he recently acquired the team, obviously with some controversy along the way.

Some players recently threatened to sit as Brown allegedly didn’t pay them for the first couple of games of the season, up to the point where the former Pro Bowler took their hotel room keys from them as well.

Brown’s erratic behavior put an early end to his impressive career in the NFL.

He’s unlikely to get another chance to play after leaving the field mid-game when he was still playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, not to mention all the things he’s said and done ever since.

Brown tried to get the Baltimore Ravens to sign him last month, but there has been little-to-no interest in his services.

Even so, and regardless of how you may feel about him, having him suit up for a NAL team is a master publicity stunt, and you better believe thousands of people would pay to watch that.
