The Denver Broncos finally have their starting quarterback.
According to the team’s official site, first-round rookie Bo Nix will be starting under center for Denver moving forward.
“It’s Bo Time … HC Sean Payton has named Bo Nix our starting quarterback,” the Broncos’ social media team wrote.

With the news of Nix getting the job, Broncos fans are excited to see No. 10 go to work.
Congrats, well deserved.
I think the Broncos will be good in the next few years if they build around Bo Nix.

Ultimately, Payton believes that Nix gives his team the best chance to win, starting with Week 1 at the Seattle Seahawks.
The former Auburn and Oregon quarterback started a record 61 games at the college level.
A former Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, Nix has all the experience that an established head coach like Payton would want in a rookie.
In two preseason games, Nix is 23-of-30 passing for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
He has a total passer rating of 116.7 and proved he is ready to take the helm.
Backing him up will likely be veterans Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson, but the first backup is unclear.
Stidham is the most experienced quarterback on the roster in terms of seasons played (entering his sixth NFL season).
However, Wilson is the most experienced quarterback on the roster in terms of NFL starts (33).
Time will tell which one will be Denver’s QB2, but it is officially Nix’s show right now, and that is why the Broncos could be a dangerous team this season.
While Denver knows what they have in the No. 12 overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft, opposing teams don’t quite know what they will be facing in Nix.
