Stephen Curry gets most of the credit when talking about the Golden State Warriors‘ recent success, and rightfully so.
The same goes for Steve Kerr and the rest of the dynasty’s core, but there’s one guy that made most of that possible with his excellent work behind closed doors.
GM Bob Myers has been the unsung hero of the organization.
He didn’t draft Curry or Klay Thompson but managed to surround them with the players they needed to thrive, not to mention he hired Kerr.

That’s why some fans are quite concerned about the reports of Myers’ potential departure.

I think Meyers and the owner had some kind of fallout and money is the motive maybe he want what they pay curry and so D Jr is cheaper to keep so I see this owner going cheap and some new things happen to warriors

According to multiple sources, the Warriors and Myers haven’t had any sort of discussions regarding his future with the organization.
His contract is up, and the word around the league is that he’s looking forward to moving on from the team.
Myers is one of the prime GMs in the league, and he should have several teams lining up to try and make a run at him, should he become available.
This could be a tough blow for a Warriors organization at a time they’ll look to retool their roster around Curry to try and make another championship run while their MVP is still in his prime.
Both Draymond Green and Klay Thompson could also be on their ways out of the team, and Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kuminga have been vocal about their frustration with their lack of playing time as well.
This will be a crucial offseason for the organization.
