The Jordan Love era is officially underway for the Green Bay Packers.
Aaron Rodgers is no longer the man at Lambeau Field, and the four-year pro will have to prove why the Packers risked infuriating their future Hall-of-fame quarterback by taking him in the first round three years ago.
Evidently, the front office is fully confident in Love’s ability to lead the team going forward, as they just signed him to a very lucrative one-year extension.
Rather than the fifth-year option, the #Packers and their QB reach a deal. https://t.co/DGUjTrOzZ2

Needless to say, this deal led to plenty of reactions on social media, with some raving about Love and the new-look Packers and others not so excited about the future of the team.
Excited to see what the kid’s got!

Hope he does well. He’s waited long enough

They are the enemy but as a human being I’m glad Jordan Love finally gets the chance he deserves. Talk about a humble man. Patience is rewarding. Just make sure to lose to the Bears

I dunno when there’s little to no sample size of him.

Truth be told, the eye test hasn’t exactly favored Love through his brief tenure in the league, and his stats aren’t impressive, either.
But the Packers have had nothing but praise for him, and you can argue they’ve had quite a solid eye for QBs throughout the years, so one might give them the benefit of the doubt.
He’s been in that system for quite a while now, and it’s not like many people had a lot of faith in Rodgers when he first took over for Brett Favre, either.
But for now at least, the new-look Packers offense will be a bit of a question mark.
