Over the last few years, few players in the NBA have been more controversial or made more of a spectacle about themselves while on the basketball floor than veteran guard Patrick Beverley.
Even though Beverley isn’t exactly a game-changer when he’s been on the floor during his career, he is nothing short of an irritant that opposing teams hate to deal with, as he seems to make it his mission to be a problem on the defensive end of the floor.
Although Beverley does excel defensively and can be an asset for teams looking for a boost in the backcourt, he hasn’t had much luck finding a long-term home in the NBA.
After a few solid stints with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers, Beverley has bounced around the league frequently with stops with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
With Beverley still unsigned, it appears he’s weighing his options, which, according to the Twitter account of his podcast, seem to be signing for the veteran minimum for an unnamed team in the NBA or going overseas to sign a supposed historic contract.

As stated earlier, Beverley isn’t exactly a game-changer for teams in the NBA, so it isn’t all that surprising that he has gone unsigned up to this point in the NBA offseason.
Along with not being a player who can move the needle that much at this point in his career, his antics on and off the floor can make him more of a problem than a solid addition to a team.
