The Washington Commanders are reportedly getting ready to clean house.
The team has failed to impress this season and could be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss on Sunday.
With that in mind, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that new owner Josh Harris is no longer hiding his desire to move on from HC Ron Rivera at the end of the season (via Dov Kleiman).
This should be far from a surprise, all things considered, as Rivera has reportedly been on the hot seat for a couple of years now, and some didn’t even think he’d made it through this season.
That’s why plenty of fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on this matter, and not all reactions were nice for the former Carolina Panthers coach.

The Commanders are looking forward to turning their culture around, both on the field and within the organization, following countless remarks and accusations during the Dan Snyder era.
Several front office members could also be on their way out, according to the report, although it didn’t get into any specifics.
The Commanders will have a lot of cap space and draft assets to try and revamp their roster, and the new owners are expected to have a ‘hands-on’ approach.
Whether Rivera’s firing also means Eric Bieniemy will be on his way out remains to be seen, but he always seemed like a logical successor, considering the success he found for years with the Kansas City Chiefs under Andy Reid’s tutelage.
