The last 24 hours have been horrible for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Although the team did win their game on Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans and secured a spot in the play-in games, they lost Jaden McDaniels to a hand injury and also witnessed one of their biggest stars punch a teammate.
Because of his punch, Rudy Gobert is facing some serious consequences.
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Gobert isn’t traveling with the T-Wolves to LA for their game against the Lakers and will not participate on Tuesday.

This was later confirmed by insider Shams Charania, who said that Gobert has indeed been suspended by his team for punching Kyle Anderson.

This news shook the NBA world and fans were pouring onto Twitter to let their opinions be known.
The loss of Gobert, who is averaging 13.4 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, could be hugely damaging to the Timberwolves.
But there is no denying that this is good news for the Lakers.

Others made light of Gobert’s suspension by jokingly questioning how it could happen after he sent a group text to his team apologizing for his actions.

Many people highlighted the blockbuster trade that sent Gobert to the T-Wolves in the summer.

There are some who feel things are so dire that Gobert might be done in Minnesota.
