Some big news regarding point guard Russell Westbrook has hit the wire recently.
According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Clippers are trading Westbrook to the Utah Jazz, along with a second-round draft pick and cash.
Wojnarowski has also noted that the nine-time All-Star and former MVP is expected to agree to a buyout with Utah and if he clears waivers, he is looking to sign with the Denver Nuggets.

Nevertheless, this is the second time that Westbrook has been technically traded to Utah, so NBA fans are having a field day with this news.

The Utah part of this news is the least important with Westbrook interested in joining the Nuggets.
Keep in mind that Denver is just two years removed from winning a championship.
Now, the Thunder legend is not a starter anymore after coming off of a season in which he started just 11 of the 68 games that he played in and averaged just over 11.0 PPG for the Clippers.
However, he could be a valuable rotational piece for a Nuggets team that couldn’t even make it back to the Western Conference Finals last season.
A member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, Westbrook’s best days are behind him but his search for a ring continues on.
He has made just one NBA Finals appearance in his career, and that came with Oklahoma City back in 2012.
Perhaps he can help Denver claim a second title in the last three years and ride off into the sunset having accomplished everything that young NBA players dream about.
