Football is a rough sport that can take a toll on your body and mind, with many current and former players expressing this sentiment often.
Recently, the NFL decided to add a second Thursday Night Football game for every team in the league.
Previously, teams only had to appear on Thursday Night Football a minimum of one time per season, but now that has been changed to two times, with players not fond of the idea.
San Francisco 49ers superstar tight end George Kittle, who has battled his fair share of injuries during his NFL career, talked about how tough the recovery process is on his body, which feels like recovering from a car accident, in his opinion.
Future Hall of Famer Tom Brady had the same opinion on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert five years ago.
5-years ago, @TomBrady said that playing is football is worse than a car crash.”

Here are some fan reactions about Kittle comparing playing football to being in a car crash:
The NFL should add a 2nd bye week

Although Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills almost lost his life on the football field last season, comparing football to car accidents where people regularly lose their lives is a bit much.
Brady and Kittle’s comparisons can be seen considering how brutal injuries in the NFL can be, especially regarding the long-lasting effects of head trauma.
However, it may be a bit of a stretch, but then again, most of us have never played football at the professional level and can’t say what the impact and recovery would be from week to week in this physically demanding sport.
