It seems like everybody in the NFL — except the Baltimore Ravens or any team owner — wants Lamar Jackson to get paid like the superstar he is.
It seems like the Ravens and multiple teams are in collusion against Jackson, mostly because they feel like Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray got overpaid, and they want to drive the quarterback market back down.
But more than that, the fact that Jackson has failed to finish either of the past two seasons hasn’t done a lot to help him, especially given the nature of his latest injury.
Jackson hasn’t done himself any favors, either.
He’s openly discussed his injury status on social media, which will only raise more doubts and concerns about his health going forward.
That’s why NFL legend Deion Sanders took to Twitter to urge him to stop explaining himself to those who question him and his work ethic, stating that there will always be fools who’ll judge and misunderstand him.
Needless to say, fans had a lot to say about Prime’s advice.
Stop explaining Yourself to fools and allow fools to be fools. A brother trying that’s strong, believes in himself and willing to stand for what he believes will always be misunderstood & judged by fools of all ethnicities. Talk to him Prime. This young man needs guidance top five quarterback in this league with hardly no endorsements. He needs an agent.

well said best corner in the history of the game. (Please tell him to stay with the ravens)

That seems to be what most of his colleagues think, and they’re all pushing for him to get the deal he wants and deserves.
Jackson decided to represent himself instead of hiring an agent, and that mostly backfired throughout the whole process.
Now, he’s likely just going to be forced to play for the Ravens under the non-exclusive franchise tag to try and prove that he can stay healthy, as no team seems interested in offering him a fully-guaranteed contract at this point.
