We don’t know what the future holds for Dillon Brooks, but it’s very likely that he won’t be with the Memphis Grizzlies next season.
Just days ago, Shams Charania reported that the team would not re-sign Brooks “under any circumstances.”
The reporting on this behind-the-scenes drama has been controversial, with some saying it’s unfairly harsh and petty.
Brooks’ agent, Mike George, thinks it’s completely unfounded.
On Twitter, he said that Charania is “the leader of spreading false news and attacking players.”
He added, “Why any player in the league talks to this guy blows my mind.”

George’s tweet brewed up its own batch of responses, many of them negative.
However, some of the tweets from fans were supportive of George, Brooks, and the tricky situation they’re in.

Many people attacked George and especially Brooks, who has gotten himself into trouble for his comments recently.

We will never know how accurate Charania’s reporting was, even if Brooks is indeed let go by the team.
But we do know that the last few weeks have not been kind to the young player, and he will be ready to start a new season and a new chapter in his career when 2023-24 begins.
