Anything can happen in the NBA playoffs.
And for the first time in years, it seems like both conferences could be up for grabs, as there are just too many good and competitive teams right now.
Nonetheless, even despite that, some might believe that the Miami Heat are still a couple of tiers below some of the biggest contenders this season.
The Heat struggled with health and inconsistency for the better part of the season, and they had to settle for a spot in the Play-in Tournament.
Even so, and regardless of the doubters, Jimmy Butler still thinks they can beat anyone in a seven-game series when they’re at their best.
“Ain’t nobody picked us last year. Who cares? Nobody is picking us this year. Still don’t give a damn.”

Needless to say, Butler’s comments drew some mixed reviews on social media, with not many fans thinking they have a legit chance to go the distance again.

The Heat shocked the world by reaching the NBA Finals in the pandemic-shortened season, and they were quite close to winning the fourth NBA championship in franchise history.
However, they haven’t been able to find that groove again, and this roster isn’t nearly as stacked with talent as some of the other teams in the East.
Then again, Butler has been known for his leadership and rising to the occasion every time the game or the season is on the line, and coach Erik Spoelstra is one of the best at making adjustments.
So, it’s most definitely a long shot, but we’ve seen crazier things happen in this league, so we wouldn’t rush to count them out just yet.
