The Kawhi Leonard situation has set an alarm for the Los Angeles Clippers.
The two-time NBA champion is set to miss the second consecutive game of the Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers series.
With the recent developments in this situation, many people have criticized the player, including Kendrick Perkins.
The 2008 NBA champion recently claimed that if he was the Clippers, he’d give Leonard and Paul George an ultimatum for next season.
If I’m Steve Ballmer and the front office of the Clippers I’m giving Kawhi and PG just 1 more year to make a title run. Carry the hell on… pic.twitter.com/hL0k66TlUd

“Let me say this about the Clippers. If I’m Steve Ballmer and Lawrence Frank, I’m giving Kawhi Leonard and Paul George one year, one more year, before I decide to break this up. It’s starting to get ridiculous,” Perkins said.
NBA fans reacted to this claim, agreeing with Perkins’ sentiment.
You’ve got to trade one of them this offseason

I am a fan of both , specially Kawhi. He is my all time fave player but they both a disservice to the Clippers that is bleeding for its first ever chip. Not their fault but any organization would fail if they keep 2 injury magnet stars.

How many years you gonna give them lol

Agreed……does Kawhi know the meaning of “suck it up”?? Load management is weak in the REGULAR Season, but with no back-to-back games in the playoffs, load management is unacceptable in the postseason by Kawhi #StealingMoney

Perkins states that he’s not trying to accuse anybody of faking an injury, but this situation keeps repeating itself every season.
Besides their infamous collapse in the 2020 Orlando bubble, Leonard and George haven’t had a playoff run together.
Something always comes up for any of them, and this season, both players suffered injuries before or during the playoffs.
Nobody wants to deal with this anymore, and Perkins claims the Clippers need to make a final decision on their two stars.
When they signed Leonard and traded for Paul George, the Clippers became instant championship contenders.
Four years later, they’re still trying to play together in the Western Conference Finals.
Fully healthy, this team would have a big chance to go all the way to the Finals and win the title.
However, with only Russell Westbrook going against the Phoenix Suns, the Clippers have little chance to succeed.
This offseason will be crucial for the Clippers if they end up being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Leonard and George have a job to do and they haven’t done it so far.
