Fans React To What Kevin Love Said About Jimmy Butler

Forward Jimmy Butler has been the Miami Heat‘s franchise player over the last few years, and he has also been a very good leader.

Even better, he is perhaps the NBA’s deadliest player come crunch time, which is one reason why he is nicknamed “Jimmy Buckets.”

In Saturday’s win over the plunging Dallas Mavericks, he scored 35 points while shooting an incredible 12-of-16 from the field, and he also dished off 12 assists to help Miami emerge victorious, 129-122.

Afterward, teammate Kevin Love gave Butler lots of praise.

Love said he would pretty much take Butler over any player in the league when it comes to winning.

Fans seemed to agree with Love’s statement.

Before Butler arrived in South Florida in 2019, the Heat were a mediocre team that won just 39 games in the 2019-19 season and missed the playoffs.

With the legendary Dwyane Wade retiring, it looked like perhaps a long and painful rebuilding process was coming.

Instead, Butler took the team back to a high level right away.

Miami went 44-29 in Butler’s first season with the team, and it surprised plenty of people by upsetting Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, who had the NBA’s best record, in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Heat made it as far as the NBA Finals in the Walt Disney World Resort bubble, where it lost in six games to a superior Los Angeles Lakers team.

After coming very close to a second championship series appearance last season, the Heat have struggled almost inexplicably this season, especially on offense, where they’re the only team in the league averaging less than 110 points a game.

They’re in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and would likely face either the Bucks or Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs if they win the play-in tournament, which would likely mean an early out.
