NBA fans all over are still marveling at the amazing work of Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets in the postseason.
The versatile big man just helped his Nuggets win the Finals for the first time ever and earned the Finals MVP for his effort.
Now people are wondering how strong an influence he will have on the game moving forward.
Mike Greenberg believes that Jokic’s latest run might be one for the history books.
“This postseason will become the one that changes the game. I think Nikola Jokic is going to do for the NBA something similar to what Steph Curry did for the game a decade ago,” he said on Wednesday’s Get Up.

That is quite the statement from Greenberg and people immediately commented on it on social media.
Some people thought that Jokic’s accomplishments have been overblown.
They say that he had a very easy path to the Finals and shouldn’t be referred to as a game-changer.
Seriously??? Look at the teams they had to beat, including the Heat in the finals. I realize they can only beat who they play, but the greatest? Come on, Greeny. Be responsible with your accolades.

Others think that the league will certainly transform because of the success Jokic has found.
But they don’t believe that he is going to radically change the NBA like Curry did when he showed the world the power of a fast, slight, three-point expert.
I would agree Jokic and the Nuggets can possibly dominate the league in the next few years like the Steph and the Warriors did then, but I don’t see it as game-changing like how Steph and shooting 3s changed the game.

And others believe that finding more Jokics in the world will be harder than finding more Currys.
Maybe true but Jokers skill set at his height and weight is much more rare than Curry’s .

Some fans pointed out that the league already has a few young players who are following in the footsteps of Jokic.

We don’t yet know the ways that Jokic has altered the league and the players within it.
But we do know that he has just done something historic and there is no doubt that everyone is now paying attention.
