The time has come for Joe Harris to say goodbye to the NBA.
Shams Charania is reporting that Harris has retired from basketball after 10 seasons in the league and 504 games for the Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.
Harris’ career averages were 10.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, and he was best known for his sharpshooting 3-point skills.
In fact, he won the 3-point contest at the 2019 All-Star Weekend.

Harris was a supremely talented basketball player and offensive threat who just couldn’t stay healthy.
Over the past few years, he missed many games due to several injuries and only participated in 16 games for the Pistons last season, when he averaged 2.4 points per game playing an average of 10.6 minutes per contest.
Some fans felt Harris could still help several NBA teams, even with his injuries, and expected him to return.
However, he feels that it’s time for him to step away from the game likely because he can’t perform the way he wants to.
This retirement from Harris comes as a surprise to many people, especially because he is only 32 years old.
But it’s evidence of how tough the game can be to players’ bodies and how much damage it can do.
Even though he was playing for the league-worst Pistons, Harris still spent most of his time on the bench, further proving just how bad his injuries were.
Harris will forever be known as a talented shooter who sadly suffered a lot of physical problems that got in his way.
