The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to improve their roster heading into the 2023 season.
No matter how good your team might look on paper, you can always benefit from some added depth.
That is what the Bengals did by signing a former Eagles cornerback.
According to Jordan Schultz, Sidney Jones has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bengals.

Jones has not shown much during his NFL career, but he is still young.
The 26-year-old joins the Bengals after spending last season with the Seahawks and Raiders.
In total, Jones played 10 games last season, where he had one pass defended and made 12 tackles.
This is a move by the Bengals to try and see if they can get anything from a once highly sought-after player.
Before the 2017 draft, Jones was seen as a first-round talent.
But, he fell to the second round because he tore his Achilles tendon on his pro day.
Since then it seems like Jones never got back to the player he was in college.
It would be a stretch to expect the Bengals to give Jones a meaningful spot on their roster.
But, he can fill a special teams role if the does make the team.
It will be interesting to see if Jones can carve out a meaningful cornerback role next year.
The Bengals would love for Jones to earn a spot on their defense, but that seems unlikely at this point.
