Aleksej Pokusevski has spent four years playing for multiple teams in the NBA but he’s moving overseas, at least for now.
Evan Sidery is reporting that Pokusevski is signing a contract with EuroLeague’s Partizan in Serbia after a season that saw him with both the Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets.
Will he remain in Serbia or will he make his way back to the NBA in the future?

Pokusevski split his time between Oklahoma City and Charlotte in 2023-24 and put up an average of 7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists with the Hornets.
He was picked by the Thunder during the first round of the 2020 NBA draft and was envisioned as a promising backup big man.
But the Thunder continued to expand their roster, making it deeper and leaving little room for Pokusevski.
That is why he moved to the Hornets a few months ago, but he didn’t find a reliable place in that team’s rotation either.
Pokusevski was born in Belgrade so a return to Serbia will be a chance for him to be with friends and family.
It could also work wonders for his career.
Serbia recently proved that they are one of the most impressive basketball countries on earth.
They did quite well in the Olympics, winning the bronze medal and nearly defeating Team USA in a high-stakes game.
If Pokusevski remains in Serbia, he could possibly be part of their national team in four years when the Olympics return.
Of course, he could also come back to the NBA over the next few years.
He is just 22 years old and obviously has some length and talent.
A number of NBA teams could be interested in bringing him back to the US, but he might feel more comfortable in his home country.
