The Dallas Mavericks are back in the NBA Finals.

For the first time in his career, Luka Doncic has a good supporting cast, and that was all it took to get to this stage.

On top of that, they’re perhaps the only team with two legitimate closers, not to mention perhaps the most offensively skilled backcourt this game has ever seen.

Pairing him with Kyrie Irving proved to be the right decision, and while the Mavs are Doncic’s team, Kyrie’s skills are simply mesmerizing.

With that in mind, former Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy raved about Irving, whom he worked with during their days with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Handy gushed about Kyrie’s ability to get past people and operate in tight spaces, stating that it is something never before seen in this game.

“His ability to play in tight spaces and get people off balance is something I’ve never really seen before”

Kyrie might be the greatest finishing guard in the history of the game, and his handles are second to none.

His balance and footwork are also impressive for a guard.

He has the post moves of a big man, and it seems like he’s at his best when he’s got no room to operate.

Granted, most of the criticism he’s faced during his career has also been deserving, and him playing at his best right now won’t erase his history of troublemaking behavior on his previous teams.

Still, the game is so much fun to watch when he’s on the court, and none of the controversies will erase the fact that he’s one of the most talented players to ever lace them up.
