We are just a few weeks away from the FIBA Basketball World Cup, which will feature many NBA superstars.
And some of the biggest names in the league will be playing against Team USA.
Take Luka Doncic, for example: he will be leading Team Slovenia, a squad that is considered a serious risk to the Americans.
The other night, the Dallas Mavericks phenom put up 34 points, 14 assists, and 13 rebounds in his team’s tune-up game against Montenegro.
Former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom commented on this performance on Twitter, saying: “Luka magic is real. Saturday needs to hurry up and get here, I gotta see that Team USA matchup!!”
As mentioned by Odom, Doncic and his Slovenian peers are set to face off against Team USA in another warm-up game this coming Saturday.

While it is true that these practice games don’t have any real impact on the World Cup, they are a good way to gauge how a player is feeling and how they might perform.
If Doncic plays like this on Saturday then Team USA is going to be in a lot of trouble.
However, they will have their own players to make Slovenia’s life difficult, like Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, Brandon Ingram, Austin Reaves, and others.
It’ll certainly be a hard-fought and fun match to watch.
Team USA and Team Slovenia are two of the most talked-about teams entering the World Cup.
Although Saturday’s game will not affect their standings in the tournament, it’ll definitely be a great taste of what could come in the weeks ahead.
Will Doncic have another triple-double this weekend or will the Americans find a way to slow him down?
