The Philadelphia Phillies have a wealth of talent on their roster that consists of Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto, Nick Castellanos, Zack Wheeler, and Aaron Nola.

The team won 87 games last season and made a surprise run to the World Series.

Schwarber in particular is a player who has evolved over the years.

The power has always been there, but last season he led the National League with 46 home runs and hit for power like never before.

On Wednesday, Schwarber hit his 201st career home run just one day after reaching the 200-homer plateau.

On MLB Network, former MLB star Mark DeRosa, who managed Schwarber on Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, broke down Schwarber’s career and how he has evolved over the years.

DeRosa started off by praising Schwarber for his ability to hit home runs and do so on seemingly every big stage.

He also gave the slugger credit for his ability to bounce back from a torn ACL in 2016 and return for the World Series, facing Andrew Miller in his prime.

Schwarber is the fifth-fastest left-handed hitter to reach 200 home runs in the history of baseball.

His first home run came against the Cleveland Indians back in 2015.

And since then, he has continued to hit home runs.

It ultimately has led him to where he is now.

DeRosa also pointed out how Schwarber has matured as a hitter, comparing his first home run to his 200th home run and the fact that he has reworked his swing and found a way to catch up to faster pitches by not moving so much in the batter’s box.
