Many NBA analysts and fans are asking a lot of questions about the Boston Celtics following their tough loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

The Celtics had a 30-point lead during the game but they collapsed in the second half.

Former Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough has serious concerns about this Boston team after Monday night’s defeat.

Speaking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, he spoke about what bothers him.

“When the game slows down and becomes possession by possession, especially in the fourth quarter, I don’t trust this Celtics team,” McDonough said.

McDonough isn’t sure if the Celtics can execute “under pressure,” which is obviously a very big deal for a team that is hoping to push far into the playoffs and possibly to the NBA Finals.

The postseason is filled with nothing but pressure and if Boston gives up many more leads like they did on Monday, it could spell certain doom for them.

That being said, many Celtics fans remember that this hasn’t happened before for Boston.

They have been consistent throughout the season and have gone on several long winning streaks.

Even with their shocking loss on Monday, they remain the best team in the entire league.

However, they can’t pick up bad habits now.

Perhaps they were overconfident on Monday and that’s what caused them to fall to an inferior team.

No matter what caused it, the Hawks outsmarted and outplayed the Celtics and it has some people nervous.

The Celtics will seek their revenge against the Hawks this Thursday and then just nine games remain between them and the start of the postseason.
