Former NBA Player Has 1 Concern About New-Look Suns Team

The Phoenix Suns broke up their original Big Three after just a handful of games together, sending Chris Paul to the Washington Wizards.

That gave them an even more stacked Big Three with Bradley Beal, at least in terms of bonafide and pure bucket-getters.

Nonetheless, as good as it may seem on paper, former NBA champion Iman Shumpert is worried about all the egos and how they’re going to decide who’s going to take those big shots at the end of games.

The @Suns new big 3 has got to figure out one thing: who’s going to take the last shot?@imanshumpert wants them to be successful, but tells @KingJosiah54 that he is worried about those final possessions pic.twitter.com/lGdPi76iaJ

Shumpert cites that it’s actually a big deal to have those roles clear, and the Suns will need to choose who’s going to be that guy they’re going to live and die for when the rock gets hot.

Truth be told, Beal shouldn’t even be a part of the equation at this point, as he’s not on the same level as Booker or Durant in terms of being a pure scorer, as good as he is.

Of course, he could give them another option when their first two reads are heavily guarded, but he’s not going to be their go-to guy.

As for Booker and Durant, they coexisted nicely in the handful of games they played together last season, so that might not be much of an issue going forward.

Durant has already played with multiple superstars throughout the course of his career, and he’s watched them take big shots every now and then.

The real issue with the Suns is who’s going to get stops and who’s going to fill in that roster after they committed so much money to just four players.
