With Team USA failing to live up to expectations during the FIBA World Cup after being dubbed the favorite throughout the majority of the tournament, the United States has once again been put on notice that the rest of the world is catching up or has already caught up to the Americans when it comes to competitive basketball on the international level.
More now than ever before, NBA players are coming from all parts of the world and have really started to make an impression on the league, with some of the best players in the league today being from other countries, like Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Luka Doncic.
Not only are these players from overseas becoming superstars on the NBA level, but even Canada has caught up to the talent in the United States, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recently beating Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, preventing Steve Kerr’s squad from winning bronze.
Team USA needs the best of the best the United States can offer now more than ever, which has seemingly lit a fire under some superstars, like LeBron James, who is ready to commit to the team for the 2024 Olympics, sparking this reaction from Antonio Daniels via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

With James supposedly recruiting players to play for Team USA in 2024, Kerr and his coaching staff could have the opportunity to have a stacked roster filled with superstar talent like Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.
If that becomes the case, Team USA’s chances will significantly increase to come out on top in next year’s Olympics in Paris, but along with the Americans bolstering their roster, the rest of the world will be doing the same, making for an interesting dynamic in France when the times comes.
