The NBA needs veterans.

Even if they can no longer play the way they used to, all teams need proven players who can help the young players grow and develop their games.

That’s why it’s crazy to think that there’s no place in the league for a player like John Wall.

Last season, the San Antonio Spurs could’ve benefited greatly from having him on the floor, as they clearly lacked a pass-first kind of guy to help them run their offense.

The same happened with the Phoenix Suns, a team that didn’t have a traditional point guard and struggled to get into their sets and close out games multiple times.

With that in mind, the former No. 1 pick isn’t giving up on his career.

Recently, Wall told ESPN that he’s still looking to get back in the league.

“I’m not giving up on my dreams of getting back into the league.”

Wall hasn’t played since the 2022-23 season when he suited up for the Los Angeles Clippers.

And while he might not be what a contender needs right now, he could definitely accept and embrace a lesser role somewhere else.

The league is transitioning toward younger players, and while it makes sense, Wall is a cerebral pass-first kind of guy who could be instrumental to a young point guard’s development.
