Former NFL GM Says 1 Team Has A Big Decision To Make

The 2023 NFL season might’ve ended on the lowest point possible for the Philadelphia Eagles who got unceremoniously bounced out of the playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For nearly two months, the Eagles looked like a shell of the team that won the NFC last season as they were a mess on both sides of the field.

Against Tampa Bay, Philadelphia’s offense looked listless while the defense simply had no answer for the run or pass games.

Now, General Manager Howie Roseman and team owner Jeffrey Lurie need to decide what to do about head coach Nick Sirianni.

Without his coordinators like Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon, Sirianni got exposed in nearly every facet of the field and could be on his way out.

Former Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said that the Eagles are likely debating whether or not to keep Sirianni or chase after an established option like Bill Belichick via Up & Adams.

“I still think that’s something that they’re having really intense conversations in that building about,” Dimitroff said.

What’s Philly’s next move gonna be? Sirianni out?Belichick in?? Vrabel???

It’s rare to have a head coach like Belichick on the open market, and Philadelphia could decide that he’s worth firing Sirianni for.

While Belichick’s tenure with the New England Patriots ended somewhat sourly, he still would bring instant credibility to the Eagles were he to go there.

Sirianni will have a chance to present his case to keep his job, but the idea of hiring someone like Belichick must be quite tempting for Roseman and Lurie.
