The Dallas Cowboys have a very good quarterback.
He’s not the best quarterback by any means, and he hasn’t proven to be capable of going the distance in the playoffs.
He’s also struggled in big games throughout the course of his career, even in the regular season.
But Dak Prescott is a good quarterback, and he’s better than at least half of his starting colleagues if not more.
That’s why Jerry Jones will have no choice but to eventually meet his terms and make him the highest-paid quarterback in the league.
Notably, Craig Carton and Greg Jennings debated that in The Carton Show.

Carton stated that in a dream scenario, the highest-paid quarterback in the league is the best quarterback.
Nonetheless, Jennings believes Prescott has earned that right, even if he’s not the best, mostly because of today’s market and how the rest of the league has dealt with this situation.
Simply put, the Cowboys don’t have a choice.
Also, it’s not like Prescott is going to be the highest-paid quarterback forever; it’ll be just a matter of time before someone else takes that distinction away from him, just like it happened with Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow.
On top of that, it’s not like Dak is going to make $20 million more than some of his colleagues; it’s mostly just semantics.
At the end of the day, Prescott and the Cowboys will be judged by what they accomplish in the playoffs, and then we can debate whether he’s worthy of that much money or not.
