University of Southern California star quarterback Caleb Williams is making a lot of noise this season in college football, as he’s arguably the best player in the country and the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Even though USC has slid down the rankings a bit over the course of the season despite having a perfect 6-0 record, Williams continues to be dubbed the best player in college football, with many NFL analysts already comparing him to superstars currently in the league.

Perhaps the boldest comparison recently came from former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer, who claims that Williams is already a better prospect than Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes ,via Fox News and Dov Kleiman.

If Williams isn’t careful, he’ll be the most-hyped player coming out of college football in recent memory next year, with some incredibly high expectations that will be very tough to live up to.

Although there have been rumors swirling around that Williams isn’t ruling out another year at USC if he doesn’t like the way the draft board looks in terms of where he could land in the NFL, he better hope his situation is the right one when he does make the jump to the next level because he’ll have all eyes on him.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for Williams and whether he can live up to these expectations because if he can, he could be the next great quarterback in the NFL at a time when there are many star quarterbacks around the league.
