When NFL players walk away from the game, especially players at the quarterback position, a lot of the time, they go in one of two directions these days, as they either become analysts for some of the big-name networks or enter the coaching realm.

Although the analyst route is likely more profitable with a lot less stress to deal with, some players like to stay as close to the game as they possibly can in order to keep that fire and passion alive inside them.

It appears that Matt Hasselbeck is one of those former players who is trying his luck at coaching, as he has reportedly joined forces with his brother Tim Hasselbeck at Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Matt will be the offensive coordinator while his brother Tim is the head coach.

A lot of former NFL players try their luck coaching in some capacity, and usually these players aren’t superstars or even star players but rather role players that had long careers on the NFL level.

The Hasselbeck brothers seem to fit into that category, which might bode well for them in the coaching ranks, while others like former NFL superstar Deion Sanders have dealt with his drastic highs and lows of trying to be successful as a head coach on the college level.

Only time will tell if the Hasselbeck brothers will be successful as they try their luck at Ensworth School in Nashville.
