The Dallas Mavericks came out firing right out of the gate on Friday.

They weren’t going to be denied or swept, and they made a statement at home with a huge win to force Game 5.

Of course, it’s one thing to win one game, even by 38 points, and an entirely different thing to win four games in a row.

That’s why Jason Kidd will have his guys ready to take a one-game-at-a-time approach, taking things that worked in Game 4 to Game 5 to try and live for another day.

With that in mind, former NBA player Derek Fisher claimed that, as much as the Boston Celtics should still be able to close things out, the Mavericks may have found some things that they could take with them to the TD Garden.

Talking to Draymond Green for his podcast, Fisher claimed that the fact that Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dante Exum started making shots and watching the basketball go in the basket could be a catalyst in this series, via The Volume.

“I do think Dallas found some things they might be able to take to The Garden”

He thinks that having those key role players getting into an offensive rhythm and finding some confidence could be key.

The Mavericks needed someone else to step up.

Luka Doncic will always get his points one way or the other.

Kyrie Irving left plenty to be desired in the first two games of the series.

But at the end of the day, it’s a team effort, and it takes an entire group of guys to get the job done in the NBA, and especially in the NBA Finals.
