Tim Legler has some instructions for fans of the Philadelphia 76ers: they need to show up and get loud on Thursday night.

The opening round of the playoffs heads to Philadelphia for Game 3 and the 76ers desperately need a win.

After two losses in New York, including one heartbreaking one that came down to the buzzer, the 76ers are counting on their fans to make a difference.

Legler said that they need to show the sort of support that New York Knicks fans did and propel their team to victory.

Things could not be more dire for the 76ers.

Few teams are able to come back from a 2-0 deficit but no one has ever been able to rebound from being down 3-0.

In other words, if they don’t win on Thursday night, the 76ers’ season is basically over.

The good news for the team is that they were very close to winning in Game 2.

If it wasn’t for the wild and unbelievable final seconds, they would have walked away with a victory and an even series.

They need to bring the same sort of intensity they had for much of that game.

As for the fans, they need to remind the NBA why Philadelphia is known as a great sports city.

All season long, the 76ers have been hoping to have a strong presence in the playoffs but they have suffered numerous setbacks, most notably injuries to Joel Embiid.

It all comes down to Thursday night, which is definitely do-or-die for the team.

The Knicks have just enjoyed two games where they were loudly and constantly celebrated by their animated and enthusiastic fans.

Now it’s Philadelphia’s turn to make some noise.
