The Minnesota Timberwolves landed a generational talent when they got Anthony Edwards.

He drew comparisons to Dwyane Wade when he was in college, and the resemblance on the court is uncanny at times.

Nonetheless, it seems like Edwards has another layer to his offensive game, and, like Wade, he could also end up being one of the all-time greats.

However, for Jason Williams, Edwards is more similar to Tracy McGrady.

Talking to Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller on The OGs Show, the former Sacramento Kings star claimed that, like T-Mac before him, the game looks easy to Edwards.

He thinks they’re the kind of pure scorers who look like they’re not even trying.

Williams claimed that Edwards is more twitchy and even bouncier than McGrady was, although he still has a long way to go before reaching McGrady’s level.

Tracy McGrady could’ve been one of the best ever if it wasn’t for injuries.

Edwards looks like a player on that same path, although, fortunately, he’s been healthy.

He just needs to work on his conditioning to be fresher by the time the playoffs come, and that’s going to happen naturally as he bulks up and gets more experience.

Anthony Edwards is the leading candidate to be the new face of the league, and it’ll be exciting to see his journey and his development and whether he can fulfill his potential.
