LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers are about to face the Denver Nuggets in the opening round of the playoffs, which start this Saturday.
If the Lakers can defeat the Nuggets, it’ll be a huge moment for the season and a major one for James’ legacy.
But will it lead to people saying he’s better than Michael Jordan?
Speaking on “Get Up,” via NBACentral, Timothy Legler said that “there’s nothing [James] can do to make up the ground with Jordan.”
He thinks that James will always be considered second place compared to Jordan.
That being said if the Lakers can top the Nuggets and push themselves to the Finals, many people will start budging on that idea.

It has been a long time since he has faced an opponent like this.
The Nuggets have the Lakers’ number and they have beaten them in their last eight matchups, which is why so many people think Denver has the upper hand in this opening round.
The Lakers are definitely rewatching videos of their games against the Nuggets and figuring out where things went wrong.
They don’t want to make the same mistakes again, especially in the postseason.
James has repeatedly said that he doesn’t pay attention to comparisons to Jordan or conversations about who is or is not the greatest basketball player of all time.
Regardless, if he can help his team overpower the Nuggets many more people will talk about him as the best to ever play in the NBA.
