Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles looked like the team of destiny in the NFL, as quarterback Jalen Hurts went from a decent player under center to a legitimate superstar in a matter of months, with the former Alabama star leading the storied franchise to the Super Bowl.
The Eagles seemed to defy the odds on a weekly basis during the 2022 campaign, with Philadelphia making easy work of the competition while Hurts continued to get better and better.
Although the Eagles were without a doubt the best team in the NFC last season, Philadelphia came up short in the Super Bowl against a very good Kansas City Chiefs squad led by Patrick Mahomes.
Instead of sulking and complaining about what-if scenarios from last year, Hurts is using the loss to the Chiefs as motivation, which has earned him the respect of former NFL star and Super Bowl champion Plaxico Burress, who expressed his admiration on “The Carton Show.”
Jalen Hurts’ background on his phone is a photo of himself losing Super Bowl LVII:
“It’s a constant reminder for him to have a chip on his shoulder and continues to motivate him…It’s going to make him better.”

With Hurts now a household name and recently signing a lucrative contract extension with the Eagles, he has the fame and the money that comes with superstardom, but he definitely seems more interested in winning than anything else moving forward.
Coming into the 2023 campaign, the Eagles will be a team to watch in the NFC once again, with Hurts and company looking to come out on top in the conference and avenge their loss in the Super Bowl.
Although there will be some tough teams in their way, like the division rival Dallas Cowboys and the stacked San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia is expected to put up a fight while trying to pave its way back to the big game.
