The Philadelphia Eagles were coming off their first loss of the season.
And as usually happens with teams that are no longer undefeated, some started questioning whether they were as good as advertised or not.
That’s why it was so crucial for them to take down another elite team like the Miami Dolphins on national television to put the doubters at ease.
That’s exactly what happened with Craig Carton, who now seems to think that the Dolphins are more flawed and perhaps weren’t as good as expected, whereas the Eagles are the team to beat in the NFC (via The Carton Show).

The same can be said of Plaxico Burress.
The former star wideout stated that the Eagles are the best team in the conference, and he believes that adding Julio Jones, even at this point in his career, gives them another major threat down the field.
Burress also believes there’s nothing wrong with Jalen Hurts, as some people have questioned, stating that the Eagles are just the kind of team they’re supposed to be.
Truth be told, slowing down the most explosive offense on football is quite impressive.
The Dolphins have so many weapons, and they were playing excellent football before their Sunday Night matchup.
The Eagles are tied for the best record in the league at 5-1, and while the San Francisco 49ers have fared better offensively, injuries are starting to pile up for Kyle Shanahan’s team, which leaves the door wide open for them to go the distance again this season.
