Derek Carr has some unfinished business with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Despite being the undisputed leader of the team, orchestrating many game-winning drives, and leading them to the playoffs despite their revolving door at head coach, they used him as their fall guy.

And while his first season with the New Orleans Saints was far from impressive, he’ll now have an opportunity to show his former team what they’re missing.

According to former FB Marcel Reece, the Saints’ upcoming matchup with the Raiders will mean “everything” to Carr.

Talking to Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, he stated that even though Carr will claim it’s just another game, he’s going to be very pumped and emotional and get his teammates fired up as soon as they take the field.

“That game is going to mean EVERYTHING for DC…”

Carr wasn’t the best quarterback in the game, but he wasn’t the one to blame for the Raiders’ shortcomings.

The team has been poorly managed for years now, from personnel decisions to the coaches.

Now, they don’t have a legitimate QB1, and while new HC Antonio Pierce will have his guys ready to play week in and week out, especially on the defensive end of the field, it’s hard to think of them being a better team without Carr than the team they were when he was behind center.
