This is going to be a massive season for Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
After winning the AFC East each of the last four seasons, the team parted ways with its top two wide receivers in Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.
Former Super Bowl-winning running back James White recently appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio to chat about what Allen needs to prove this year with both of those guys, especially Diggs, now gone.
“He wants to show that he doesn’t necessarily need a guy like Stefon Diggs. This is definitely going to be an MVP year for him,” White said.

Allen has been responsible for a lot of production over the last half-decade or so in Buffalo.
He has recorded over 40 scrimmage touchdowns and over 4,800 total yards each of the last four seasons.
The two-time Pro-Bowler is one of the most complete players in football because he can do so much, which is why he is an MVP candidate each year.
However, he is going to have to do some more heavy lifting with Diggs and Davis both on new teams.
Allen will be throwing to a makeshift group of wide receivers.
Buffalo drafted Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman in the second round of April’s NFL Draft.
They also signed free agent receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Curtis Samuel, Chase Claypool, and Mack Hollins.
Time will tell to see if Allen can build a strong connection with each of them.
But as White alluded to in his radio appearance, will offensive coordinator Joe Brady put too much on Allen’s plate?
That is something that needs to be monitored.
