The Dallas Cowboys are in a prime position to win the NFC East.

With a victory over the Washington Commanders this weekend, the Cowboys can secure home-field advantage in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

For a team that entered the season with several questions surrounding them, the Cowboys have made a lot of headway in silencing their doubters.

While they have played well thus far, the journey is far from over.

Victor Cruz recently appeared on The Carton Show, where he discussed the Cowboys’ chances moving forward and the play of Dak Prescott.

Cruz began the conversation by saying, “Dak has earned more of our trust this year.”

Prescott was one of the main concerns for the Cowboys heading into the season, mainly due to his ability to win down the stretch.

Cruz expressed his feelings on the matter, highlighting that “he’s still unproven in the biggest stage.”

“Dak has earned more of our trust this year. But he’s still unproven in the biggest stage. We’ve seen this Dak before. Can he do it against the teams that matter in the playoffs?”

Prescott has only won two playoff games in his seven-year NFL career, which is viewed as a knock on his abilities.

While this Cowboys team has played significantly better than in recent history, this playoff record is looming over Prescott’s head.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how a team does in the regular season as long as they can get to the playoffs.

As fans are well aware, anything can happen in the postseason.

An unexpected team can catch fire, home teams can take their feet off the gas, and No. 1 seeds can go down in the snap of two fingers.

Cruz asked an essential question of Prescott, wondering, “Can he do it against the teams that matter in the playoffs?”
