The year is 2024, and Aaron Rodgers is still in the National Football League.
Clearly, his best years, physically-speaking, are far behind him.
But we’re still talking about a guy who was the league’s MVP just two years ago.
He’s one of the greatest passers this game has ever seen and a guy who rarely makes mistakes or puts the ball in harm’s way.
However, after watching him miss one season with a major injury, it seems like the rest of the league is sleeping on him.
That’s not the case if you ask 3x Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty.
Talking to Kay Adams for her Up & Adams Show, he admitted that while you may not put him in the top five or as an MVP candidate right now, Rodgers is still the kind of guy who can instill fear in opposing defenses.

He compared it to the latter stage of Peyton Manning’s career.
That’s a fair assessment, and while Manning wasn’t at his best in his final game, he still walked away from the league as a reigning Super Bowl champion.
Aaron Rodgers has never relied on his mobility or speed to be efficient, so why would he struggle now?
If the Jets manage to keep him out of harm’s way with this new offensive line, he’s likely going to be the same player of old.
He’ll have an elite WR1, an established running back, and a championship-caliber defense by his side, and it feels like sleeping on him is just a blatant mistake.
