Ever since he took over for an injured Tony Romo, star quarterback Dak Prescott has become the face of the Dallas Cowboys and the one player who shoulders most of the blame when things don’t go as planned during the NFL playoffs for America’s Team.
Despite not having much success at all during the postseason, the Cowboys have stuck by Prescott as their leader under center on the football field, which might be a decision that haunts the team down the road, as he might not have what it takes to lead this storied franchise back to glory with another Super Bowl title in the Jerry Jones era.
Although the longtime team owner gets a lot of blame as well for the Cowboys’ shortcomings, it all falls on Prescott to produce results on the gridiron, and he seems to be facing more scrutiny than ever after an epic collapse in the playoffs last year against the Green Bay Packers despite being the second seed in the NFC.
Former NFL star Greg Jennings of FOX Sports recently expressed his opinion about Prescott, as he believes the veteran quarterback is overrated via First Things First.
“Dak is definitely overrated as it pertains to the Dallas Cowboys. He’s not the best offensive player on his own team,” Jennings said.

With Prescott flaming out in the playoffs year after year, the overrated label has become a popular thing for fans and the media to put on the soon-to-be 31-year-old, as he seems to prove time and time again that he’s nothing more than a player that excels in the regular season.
Fortunately for Prescott, he seems to have the confidence of the team’s brass and might not be going anywhere anytime soon, with reports of the team wanting to sign him to another lucrative long-term deal.
