The Los Angeles Lakers gave Bronny James a guaranteed contract and a roster spot even before he set foot on the court.
That’s not usually what happens to a No. 55 draft pick.
Most of them have to grind and earn things while spending most of their time in the G-League.
Bronny’s performance in the Summer League has left plenty to be desired.
That, however, doesn’t sit well with former NBA player, Eddie House.
In his recent appearance on The Carton Show, the former Celtics guard claimed that Bronny was an NBA player because he signed a contract and was on a roster.
“He is an NBA player by all means.”

He’s most definitely a professional because he’s getting paid to do so, but that doesn’t mean he’s an NBA-caliber player.
There are countless professional basketball leagues on Earth, but just a handful of players are NBA-caliber players.
Bronny could maybe be a pro somewhere else or even thrive in the G-League, but he’s simply not ready to play in the NBA.
Does that mean he’ll never be ready? Of course not.
That’s not even a knock on him as a person or about his work ethic; he clearly works hard and has a strong character.
But this is the best basketball tournament across the globe, and as such, it should exclusively feature the best of the best regardless of their last name.
