The Dallas Cowboys have a big problem on their hands.

Besides his poor play — or perhaps because of it — it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of respect for Dak Prescott right now.

At least, that’s what former NFL player Antonio Cromartie seems to think after watching the way Trevon Diggs talked to him in practice.

While team owner Jerry Jones stated that people shouldn’t read too much into that and called those who thought there was more to it “bored,” Cromartie says the way Diggs talked to him shows there’s a lack of respect for the quarterback, via “The Carton Show” this week.

Notably, even Jones may have taken a slight shot at Prescott, stating that backup QB Cooper Rush looks “sharp” in practice after Dak threw his ninth interception of training camp.

Even so, multiple players have constantly shown their support for the quarterback, both as a player and a person, praising his leadership skills and stating that they believe in him.

Whatever the case, respect or not, Prescott’s poor play has been a talking point for way too long already.

It seems like he’ll never reach the potential he showed glimpses of earlier in his career, and one can only wonder how much the Cowboys will wait before making a decision and pursuing a different direction at the position.

Of course, there’s always the chance he’ll silence the doubters once and for all with a big breakout in 2023, but judging by the way he’s played in training camp, that doesn’t seem likely at all.
