The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best quarterbacks in the game.

Lamar Jackson is a two-time MVP already, and some consider him to be the greatest scrambling quarterback ever, even ahead of the likes of Michael Vick or Cam Newton.

Nonetheless, Jackson has no Super Bowl rings — or appearances — to show for it.

He’s had some very solid and well-coached teams more often than not, but to no avail.

For years, the knock on the Ravens was that they didn’t give him enough weapons to succeed.

That’s why former NFL star Mark Schlereth finally had enough of that narrative (via Dov Kleiman).

Mark Schlereth has heard enough of the excuses for Lamar Jackson that the Ravens ‘don’t get him weapons.’

“How many RD1 WRs do you need to draft? … Your QB has a long way to go in developing WRs. I don’t want to hear that bulls*** anymore.”

Thoughts?

Recently, the broadcaster pointed out the fact that the Ravens had gotten multiple wide receivers and tight ends in the first round just for him.

So, even though some claim that they haven’t gotten the right players, he believes it’s also up to the quarterback to develop his wide receivers.

Schlereth pointed out the fact that Aaron Rodgers spent almost two decades with the Green Bay Packers and not once did they drafted a wide receiver or tight end in the first round for him.

He thinks there’s no more room or time for excuses anymore and that it’s about time Jackson starts delivering in the playoffs.

He’s right to a degree.

Perhaps the Ravens’ scouting department hasn’t done the best job of finding the right pieces for him.

But if you’re a star, you should be expected to deliver regardless, and Jackson is one of the most prominent names in the game.
