The Minnesota Vikings are looking for a new franchise quarterback.

Letting Kirk Cousins go in free agency was a big blow for their offense.

Fortunately for them, they have more than enough options to address that need in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft.

With that in mind, former NFL QB Chase Daniel revealed that they’re ‘in love’ with Drake Maye.

Talking on the Ross Tucker Podcast, Daniel claimed that the Vikings are trying to exhaust all avenues to get him.

“The Minnesota Vikings are absolutely in love with him, don’t know if they have enough ammo,” Daniels said.

Nonetheless, he also states that they might not have enough ammo to get him right now.

Maye has been projected to go No. 2 or No. 3 for most of the draft process, with him likely heading to Foxboro to play for the New England Patriots.

The Vikings are reportedly the most aggressive team trying to trade up, and most insiders have them tied to Michigan star J.J. McCarthy, who might be available for them if they manage to get to No. 4 or No. 5.

They have two first-round picks to convince the Arizona Cardinals or Los Angeles Chargers to trade with them, but that might not be enough to convince the Patriots — who also need a quarterback — to move down.

Whatever the case, most experts and analysts fully expect the Vikings to have a top-five pick before the start of the NFL Draft.

If everything fails, they could always get Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. later, and they also have veteran QB Sam Darnold signed to a one-year deal.
