The Pittsburgh Steelers desperately needed to bolster their quarterback room.
Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, and Mitch Trubisky made up for perhaps the worst QB unit in the league last season, or at least a bottom-three room.
Now, with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, some fans expect things to be different.
That’s not the case with Pete Prisco.
The CBS Sports analyst stated that Wilson was always a “tad overrated,” adding that it’s not like the Seattle Seahawks were making the Super Bowl all the time because of him.
So, now that he’s not the player he used to be, he’s only “slightly” better than Kenny Pickett.
Notably, Le’Veon Bell wasn’t having any of that.
The former star running back took to X to dismiss the narrative about Wilson being just slightly better than their previous starter.

To be fair, Prisco may have a valid point regarding Wilson not being as great as some believe him to be; it showed as soon as he left the Seahawks.
As for the Steelers, he should still be an upgrade for them, even if — just like Prisco said — they’re still the worst team in the AFC North Division, the toughest in the entire league.
Pickett wasn’t put in a position to succeed, but he didn’t do enough to shut down the doubts about whether he was the guy they needed to run the offense.
Now, Wilson won’t have the benefit of the doubt either, and his résumé won’t be able to cover for him if he doesn’t get back on his feet.
